~ L O K I ' '“Run run as fast as you can…”
A snarled whisper left the mouth of the Timber wolf, her hackles raised as she stared at a group of birds as she laid down on the ground in the wide plains of Falconi. Loki knew she wouldn’t be able to catch them unless one of them had an injury, but she couldn’t help it. As much as she loved the occasional rabbit and field mouse, bird had to be one of Loki’s favourite animals to chase and catch, even if it meant chasing them for miles. Not that she would ever chase them for miles, only for a few minutes at most. Loki allowed the birds to hop around the immediate area before she simultaneously barked and rose to her feet, and set the birds up into the air where they screeched their displeasure with the young Timber.
The young she-wolf had no idea why she was so interested in birds; they were hard as hell to catch and she couldn’t just catch them and eat them. More than half of the time she would just play with them until she got bored or hungry. Which ever came first. Sadly though, Loki hardly ever allowed herself to stick around long enough to get bored with the birds; something or someone else would usually get her attention, and then the birds would be forgotten until the next day. Loki watched as the birds scattered and she allowed a wolfish smirk to play on her lips.
Her legs moved her away from the plains, into the woods. Birds seemed to see she was a shit disturber; they screeched and chirped their song at her as she shook her head and allowed her neck fur to shake with her head. As she walked she stepped over countless pieces of foliage, once or twice snapping a dead twig as she stepped on it. Loki yawned, her limbs carrying her through the wooded area into the dens, then around them to the Crystal Pond. A drink would be nice now; the mid-day sun glared down at the female and her thick fur made it almost impossible to stand the hot weather.
Standing beside the pond, she glanced down at her reflection and sighed. Nothing would ever change for her, now would it? Lowering her head she dipped her muzzle into the cool water and began to drink.

Time to get some food! Not like Nilesh really ever had hunted some big game before. Most times it was small game like rabbits and bob cats. But this time it was a deer. Silently, Nilesh padded through the woods as quietly as possible. That was really quiet. The half wolf had learned to hunt from both of his parents. It was amazing having a coyote for a father. Stalking the desert and things, it was good to be able to know you could hunt in all kinds of places.
The young wolf like animal stopped in his tracks. Both ears now standing up and alert. What in the name of sweet deer’s was that? Eyes darting around, he spotted some messed up under brush near the trail across from his. What was going on? Making his way over, Nilesh sniffed the air. The fur on his back stood on end. There was another wolf here! Looking down, he spotted the paw prints in the dirt.
Sniffing the ground, Nilesh headed off in the directions that the tracks were in. jumping on a rock, he looked around scouting the area. Jumping onto the tree limb that was close to the rock, he scouted even more. Damn it! Why didn’t he think about this? Oh well, can’t turn around now that he was in a tree. Carefully and with grace, he made his way from one tree to another. How would he do this all the way? This was going to be a really bad trip.
Finally, he reached where there was a rock and was able to reach the ground again. Finding the tracks again, he continued on his journey.
Nope wait! There was a rabbit. Sinking into the grass low, he carefully allowed the rabbit to get closer to him before pouncing. He ripped the thing apart eating it for his meal before he continued on his way to the place the other tracks went. Stopping once he was near the lake, he stretched his body and legs out. Looking up, that was when he noticed it. Who in the hell was that other wolf? It was a female! No way that it could be…yup it was a female.
Running in now at full speed, he skirted to a halt a little too late. A splash rang through the air as he went right into the lake. OH GREAT! Climbing out, he shook himself off and looked towards the female that was there.

~ L O K I ' ' After taking her drink, Loki had laid down on the grassy banks to stare foolishly into her reflection. Her thoughts had wandered and after her drink she had felt refreshed and decided to lay down; she had become oblivious to her surroundings. The thought of her family seemed to drown her and hopelessly she dwelled back on the days when she was the daughter of a well off pair, and not the daughter of a terribly weak minded wolf. The thought of inheriting her mother’s mental illness frightened her. She didn’t want to ruin her future pups’ lives with some sort of … badness. Anger then sparked within her. How could her mother live with herself when she knew something was wrong in her own linage? Loki’s hackles raised, but lowered again when she realized how crazy she was acting on her own. It worried her.
Suddenly water splashed up onto the shores startling Loki from her troubled thoughts and into the present. Remembering that she was alone in the open plains resting beside Crystal Pond, the mixed wolf rose to her feet and shook off the water that had landed on her. Yellow eyes rolled and landed on the wolf who was wadding in the water in front of her. What was he doing! Loki’s growl was deep and low in her throat, and she stepped forward towards the male who had interrupted her dangerous thoughts.
“What are you doing! Can’t you see I was trying to relax?”
Loki wasn’t please with this male, at all. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
