Akira
The lone grey wolf bounded playfully into the meadow, the lush grass rippling under her paws. Strong muscles rippled under her thick, grey pelt, as her tufted ears pricked forward, catching every little sound that was made. Akira’s golden, luminous orbs scanned her surroundings, a habit by far. She took in the reddish leaves that swayed delicately on the tree branches, noticing how the weather had cooled since the past moon. Suddenly overcome with the urge to run, to race against the cool breeze that sprung up, Akira drove herself forward, flashing past the creatures that cowered in the undergrowth. Her sturdy limbs pumped steadily, great paws throwing back clumps of grass and soil as she ran. The wind blew against her, plastering her fur against her face as she narrowed her liquid pools against the driving wind.
Stopping abruptly, she scrabbled on the ground till she got a footing, chest flanks heaving from the exertion of her run. Her long tail wagged gently, as her pink tongue lolled out of her mouth, revealing sharp white fangs. Her golden eyes fixed on a quivering clump of grass that rustled with increasing frequency, as she flattened herself to the ground, bunching her muscles as she readied to spring. Soon, the creature hopped out of the bush, quivering nose testing the air before stiffening up in alarm. Too late,Akira grinned to herself, driving herself forward on onto the rabbit, feeling power rush through her legs. One sharp nip to the neck, and it lolled limply on the grass.
The she-wolf growled in satisfaction, picking up the limp body delicately in her powerful jaws, before trotting to a small cave and setting down her prey. Her stomach rumbled, and she licked her chops eagerly, eyeing the dead creature. Lowering her dome, she was about to take a bit of it, when the scent of another wolf hit her scent glands.
Yellow eyes flared in alarm, as she bristled defensively, baring her sharp ivory teeth. If any wolf thought they could come and steal her prey, they were dreadfully wrong. Slowly, Akira moved forward, a sharp growl rumbling in her throat, razor-edged claws glinting in the pale sunlight.
“Show yourself,” She snarled, ears flat against her head. “Who’s there?”
